      Aerosoft wird in Kürze zusammen mit der Softwareentwicklerschmiede Thunderworks einen neuen Combat Flight Simulator auf den Markt bringen:

      The Falkland/Malvinas conflict between the UK and Argentina is seen in different light by different people. In the UK it is regarded as the last time the UK showed what naval power could do and it saved the Thatcher government. It is also seen as a closed issue. In Argentina it kick-started democracy and is far from a closed issue. It was a relatively clean war, if such a thing exists, where civilians were not a target. It is also the last war were two air forces of roughly equal power (though very different in size and style) battled for air superiority. It is an ideal theatre for a serious combat flight simulator!

      Because Jet Thunder: Falklands/Malvinas Conflict is a large and complex project it will be release in three 'stages' where each stage builds upon the feedback from customers and adds more features. The first two products will be digital download only, while the last (and final) version will be available in download and worldwide in boxed form. Splitting the project in stages also will enable us to gradually increase the complexity of systems and introduce this generation of jets to customers who have never flown combat flight simulators.

      The first release Jet Thunder: Royal Air Force Harrier will include the full Falklands/Malvinas islands as a backdrop for the missions flown with the Royal Air Force 1(F) Squadron's Harrier. Starting from the HMS Hermes the user will have battle the Argentinean fighters in support of the Fleet Air Arm Sea Harriers, defend the British ships from attack, prepare the landing operations and provide close air support for the Royal Marines and Paratroopers. The Harrier is expertly modeled and fully operational. From a 'cold and dark' start, all the way to shut down the systems are as they are in the real aircraft. As far as we know this will be the first time full VTOL procedures will be realistically possible in a simulator. Release is scheduled for late 2010, download only, at a of price €20 (plus VAT when applicable).

      In 2011 there will be additions that will add many more flyable aircraft, the Argentinean side, and finally the boxed/download version that combines it all.

      hab mir auch gerade vid's angesehen.
      scheint nicht wirklich was für richtige flusis zu sein. sieht sehr nach arcade aus.

      grafik = mondlandschaft, staßen haben keine kurven, gebäude keine zufahrt und stehen wirr in der gegend alles lieblos genau wie der sound.

      berichte sind - oder - ist gleich = promo (Promotion = Werbung) und hat oft nichts mit der wirklichkeit zu tun.

      ED macht es ja auch nicht anders . Viel wurde versprochen ( A10 , neue GrafikEngine ? , naja kommt ja vielleicht noch ; 2020 ? )

      Flusi-Welt ; mondlandschaft ; wie in BS . Ob die Flusi-Welt diesen Sim braucht ??? Sound ?

      Ich liebe BS : "durchsichtige Bäume und Gebäude" für KI-Fighter usw .

      Sieht von der Grafik nicht so dolle aus... wie BS halt . . .

    • Also ich bin da auch ein wenig skeptisch, denn die letzten Videos sahen schon sehr nach Arcade aus.
      Ein kleines Bild mit nem Piloten oder dem aktuellen Ziel (oder was auch immer das ist) in der oberen linken Bildschirmecke - dazu diese Pfeile im HUD....vielleicht gibt es ja auch eine Art Game-Modus wie beim DCS.
      Allerdings bezieht sich das auch nur auf die letzten Videos. In den früheren Videos sah es wirklch klasse aus.
      Die Grafik finde ich persönlich jetzt nicht so schlecht. Da gibt es meiner Meinung nach nix zu meckern.
      Ich werd's mir bestimmt kaufen, wenn es erschienen ist - dafür warte ich einfach zu lange drauf, um es dann im Regal stehen zu lassen. Außerdem ist die Wahl des Konfliktes ganz nett. Gab es den Falklandkrieg schonmal in einer Simulation? Die Flieger sind auch schön - mal was anderes und nicht dieser "alltägliche Kram" ala F-15, F-16, F-18, MiG-29 etc pp ;)
      Wie schon gesagt....abwarten und kaufen :D

    • Ok, ich bin mal gespannt. Für Januar ist ja das erste "Teil" angekündigt.
      Und glaube nicht das es Arcade wird. Also kein HAWX.
      Ob die Systemtiefe wie in BS oder A10 wird, bezweifel ich zwar auch, aber ich vermute mal es geht über FC 2.0.
      Und irgendwo zw. FC 2.0 und BS fände ich schon echt gut.
      Die Pfeile sind Einsteigerhilfen und clickbare 6DOF-Cockpit klingt nicht nach "Arcade".

      Aber ich finde die Falkland mal etwas extrem neues und mal ganz neue Hauptparteien. UND wenn es wirklich die DC dabei ist, dann könnte das erstmal FC2 und BS bei mir Ablösen! Grafik hin oder Her!

    • Ich hab im Aerosoft Forum irgendwo einen Beitrag gelesen, in dem stand, dass es doch wohl einiges an Verzögerung gibt.
      So, wie ich es verstanden hatte will man wohl im ersten Teil direkt die Pucará mit rausbringen und die braucht wohl noch.
      Kann mich an diesen Thread allerdings auch nur noch wage erinnern. Man arbeitet wohl mit Hochdruck und will so schnell wie möglich fertig werden, aber eben kein halbfertiges Produkt rausbringen. Die Pucará war so wie ich das verstanden hatte wohl im ersten Teil ursprünglich nicht geplant und kam halt kurzfristig noch dazu.

      Schau mal im Aerososft Forum nach.

      Das hier findet man halt auch dort. Ist halt der Stand von Dezember 2010.
      Sieht so aus, als ob es noch einiges an Arbeit mit dem Flieger gibt.
      Da ich aber von Programmierung wirklich keine Ahnung habe kann ich natürlich auch nicht sagen, wie weit das denn jetzt (3 Monate später) schon sein könnte ;)
